Too Many to Name...

Going through my untried polish I decided to create a combination in the same vain as this post because I liked the varied designs all together. I started with my favorite indie brand MyTenFriends in Close Encounters and from that color I was inspired to add Essence Break Through and OPI Honey Rider. As with all the MTF colors Close Encounter has the typical consistent, densely packed, easy spreading wonderful formula. Essence Break through is thin and I had to build it up using three coats. OPI Honey Rider is absolutely gorgeous! Some people are not into the new Liquid Sand, Sugar, Gum Drop phase of polishes now but I think they're great. This combination came out just as I imagined and I'm really happy with the results. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

H&M Play It and Run Baby Run

I like the store H&M and I especially like their cute rectangular shaped nail polish bottles with the quirky colors. I purchased three polishes last year some time and just never got the chance to use the two featured in this post. I didn't feel like doing a 4th of July manicure because everyone else was doing the same thing. So I picked these two colors and did something simple instead. I was disappointed with the drying time and how the Run Baby Run (yellow accent) color looked after topcoat. It was so gorgeous going on and then it just got dull looking with the top coat. All in all I love the colors and how they go together. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

Urban Outfitters Pink Holo

Last year I purchased 3 of the 4 holos that Urban Outfitters was selling. In this post I reviewed the Silver Holo and it was just as fabulous as the pink one. I wish my nails were much longer but it's ok, I think the color shows well. This pink is very slight, and just like the Silver Holo the formula was great and the holo just popped immediately. I wish they made more colors and I wish more that I was able to snag the blue one as well. The wear was very good lasting about 4 days so far with very slight chip on the pinky but that was because I didn't use the best base coat. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

For my Baby

As I mentioned before I'm 6 months pregnant and I'm having a baby boy! His name will be Sterling which means "excellent" and I couldn't be more happy! This design was inspired by my pregnancy. I did this design so long ago that I can't remember the shade of blue that used. lol! Talk about pregnancy brain! So I used Pure Ice Nude Beach and Loreal Shear Sparkle along with Loreal Now You See Me. I liked how this came out and I will try it again with another color combination. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

Bettina 187 & Hit Polish You're Such a Square

Months ago my cousin went to Puerto Rico and I jumped on the chance to get some Bettina polishes. I had her hunting down all the beauties I wanted from various stores and I've been holding on to them for so long. I finally decided to pair one of them up with another polish purchased from Etsy shop Hit Polish called You're Such a Square. This was during my phase of glitter when I was purchasing mini bottles like mad trying out as many as I could. Bettina 187 is a creamy magenta with awesome formula. I should have used 3 coats for better coverage only because my nails curve so much. I decided to use HP YSS as a gradient on each nail to show the square shapes of the glitter. It spread very easily and the various square shapes made it look very festive. Unfortunately this color did not wear as good as I would like. The edges wore within 1 day and it started to chip within 2. I was surprised because I've heard so many great things about the wear and application of Bettina, This is the first of many more Bettinas so hopefully the others will be better. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

Priti NYC Dusty Miller

The first blog sale I took advantage of was from Refined and Polished and among the beauties I got from Lakeisha was Priti NYC Dusty Miller. I have an affinity for mint green and anything with a gold shimmer. This polish had both of those and I don't own any Priti NYC so this is a no brainer it was a must have! Unfortunately the gold shimmer does not show through a much as I would like. The formula was a tad thick but with careful application it can be a 1 coater. I decided to add the braid as a design to bring in some variety. I used American Apparel Summer Peach and Butter to complete the look. I'm happy with how the braid turned out and wish I had the patience to do it with all my nails. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

Sparitual Kindness

Another hiatus from yours truly. This time for good reason. I haven't made an official announcement on my blog but I am 6 months pregnant with our first child! A boy :) ! So I'm very excited and often times very tired. My focus has changed and I spend more time shopping for baby things than I do for nail polish. Most recently though I have taken advantage of a couple blog sales and some drug store sales. So I hope to be able to blog more regularly and not be gone so long, but you can never tell with pregnancy and motherhood.

A few weeks ago my cousin from London brought me a bunch of Sparitual polishes which are vegan and known for their creativity. She loves them and as a professional nail technician swears by them. This is Kindness with tape design using Zoya Ziv. The formula was kind of thick on this polish and unfortunately it started to chip within 1-2 days on my thumb and pointer. The color is so gorgeous I think I'll add polish thinner, and just try a different base and topcoat next time. I apologize in advanced for the lack of photos. It was a miracle I remembered to take pics of my nails in the last 3 months. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?

My Ten Friends Lunar Love Song

When I first saw Lunar Love Song I thought it was a lighter version of Pew! Pew! Pew! but it completely is not! I had every intention of polishing all my nails with this color but  honestly I didn't want to waste it. By far Lunar Love Song and Dirtball are my favorite of MTF. Lunar Love Song is a very light teal base with orange, pink, red, and gold hex glitter. I love this polish because it's sweet, fresh, girly, and a great spring or summer color. The rest of the nails I used OPI My Address is Hollywood with Zoya Ziv sponged on top to compliment the color combos in Lunar Love Song. Check out all the other polishes in the Kiss of the Cosmos collection at MTF shop here. Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns?
